Painting Classes for Vulnerable Youth
Since 2015, our painting classes have provided a unique blend of education and art therapy for children in orphanages and psychological rehabilitation centers. In 2022, we expanded our efforts to reach internally displaced children, continuing to use art as a healing tool. Our classes introduce young minds to the rich history of art, exploring key movements, styles, and the influential works of renowned artists.
Children experiment with a variety of techniques, from brushwork and color blending to collage and mosaic. They also engage in plein air landscape painting, learning to capture the beauty of nature, and still life painting, focusing on the structure and details of objects.
These hands-on experiences not only deepen their understanding of art but also offer a therapeutic outlet, helping them process emotions and find comfort through their artistic expression. For many, it becomes a transformative experience, and when possible, parents join them, sharing in the healing process.
