EASTER FESTIVAL 2025

“PYSANKY OF KYIV REGION”

From April 11 to 18, 2025, the city of Vyshhorod hosted the Easter Festival “Pysanky of Kyiv Region.”
The event was organized at the invitation of the Vyshhorod Historical and Cultural Reserve with the support of the Kyiv Regional Council, the Kyiv Regional State Administration, the Department of Culture and Tourism of the KRSA, and the Church of Saints Borys and Hlib in Vyshhorod.

Throughout the week, the Museum of Ancient Rus’ Pottery held the following events:

• Exhibition of artwork by Zoya Stashuk, Honorary Master of Folk Art of Ukraine and renowned pysanka artist.
• Pysanka workshops and lectures on the history and traditions of Ukrainian pysanka, led by Zoia Stashuk.
• Special sessions for children from families of fallen heroes.
• Samchykivka painting workshop by Yana Vlasenko.
• Artistic stamping on eco-bags, conducted by Tetiana Yahodkina.
• Creation and painting of wooden Easter decorations — by “33art” studio.
• Painting of wooden eggs — also by “33art” studio.
• Guided museum tours led by museum staff.
• Presentation of Easter pysanky by Folk Ukraine

The workshops were conducted by the creative studios “33art”, “Iva Art Club”, and Yana Vlasenko.
The festival curator was Tetiana Yahodkina.

In total, around 270 children aged 8 to 16 from local schools took part in the workshops and tours.
